I can't wait to share this wonderful treatment with you. It is suitable for most people, but what makes it so special is that it has a nifty little kick to it - so... what is it?
It's RLD - Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage.
Case Study
I picked one of my clients who had breast cancer a couple of years ago, which resulted in surgery, lymph node removal and other treatments. The range of movement in 'that' arm has been quite limited due to the scar tissue restricting movement - so it can be quite uncomfortable.
Mrs G has had regular oncology massage with me to help soothe the ache and she said she always knows when she is ready for treatment as it starts to niggle a week before.
She was the perfect case study for RLD (Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage)
The Objective
In any treatment there has to be an objective, and Mrs G decided she wanted:
1. To ease the ache
2 Ease the tightness in the arm
She did not feel there was any swelling (lymph oedema) and had been signed off as 'normal'.
The Treatment;
We carried out just 4 RLD treatments (1 each week on the same day at the same time).
At the end of the course of treatments Mrs G reported that she had no ache at all, was surprised to find her shoes felt too big and had gone down a size on her watch strap too.
She was so convinced that her legs were shrinking that she tried to measure them herself.
It's such a shame I didn't do the calculations on her legs too - kicking myself for that !
The Outcome
All I can tell you is the outcome was truly amazing.
1. Ache - gone
2. Tightness & restriction improved.
As if that isn't amazing enough, check this out....
As part of the study and training I measured both Mrs G's arms before and after each treatment, and the overall fluid loss in both arms was a staggering 721.63 mls.
That's nearly three quarters of a litre of fluid drained from just her arms.
No wonder the ache was gone and tightness improved.
Suitable for ;
If you would like to experience this treatment is it suitable for most people including those who have had breast cancer, lymph node removal, lymph-oedema, inflammatory & auto Immune disorders.
Early indications suggest that RLD maybe useful with other conditions, i.e. Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, MS, ME, Psoriasis, Rheumatoid Arthritis IBS, Premenstrual Fluid Retention, Coeliac, to name a few so it's great to give the immune system a little boost.
Other information
RLD is a 40/45 minute treatment, but please allow an hour. If you would like the measurements to calculate the fluid loss too, simply click the 'add on' button when booking this treatment..
An hours' appointment is £45.
